
COMMUNITY lIAISON EMPLOYMENT opportunities
SECOG is seeking Community Liaisons for brownfield redevelopment projects in Preston, Sprague, and Windham to help connect residents, businesses, and community stakeholders with local revitalization efforts. In these part-time, term-limited roles, liaisons will conduct outreach, gather public input, attend local events, and help ensure redevelopment plans reflect community priorities. Project sites include the Hallville Mill property in Preston, the former paper mill site at 130 Inland Road in Sprague, and two Windham-area redevelopment sites: 322B Main Street in Willimantic and 11 Machine Shop Hill Road in South Windham. Community Liaisons will work closely with SECOG and project partners to share information about environmental assessments, future reuse opportunities, and redevelopment planning efforts. Ideal candidates have strong local connections, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting community-driven revitalization and economic development.

FALL Internship opportunities
SECOG enjoys the assistance of undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in public administration and urban planning and currently has capacity to host student interns this fall. Depending on individual skills, interest areas, and need, interns will have the opportunity to assist with current SECOG projects including housing and land use planning, long-term transportation planning, and projects related to water quality and storm readiness. Projects will require attention to detail, use of analytical tools such as excel and GIS, and a commitment to clear public communications. Positions are hybrid with the majority of time spent working in SECOG’s Norwich office.
